CURRENT PROJECTS
Kaitlin is a lighting designer for the stage with experience designing theater, opera, and dance. She brings a love of character and form to her practice, always seeking layers of light that influence and underscore narratives. Her multifaceted background in design makes her a powerful collaborator in establishing the atmosphere of a story and the inner workings of characters.
Her most recent work includes designing the new production of Kate Soper’s Ipsa Dixit with Long Beach Opera and Martha Graham Dance Academy. Kaitlin has also had the pleasure to assist on projects like Fat Ham (west coast premiere), A Transparent Musical (world premiere) of Yellow Face (Broadway premiere).
Upcoming work includes designing for the world premiere of 7 Early Songs at the REDCAT Theater's NOW Festival.
She received her M.F.A. in Entertainment Design from UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television and her B.A. in Technical Theater from Long Beach State University. Along with her education, Kaitlin brings experience designing lighting for camera, hotels, private residences, and theme parks.
When not designing, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, and talking all things film or music.
